The Merchandiser is an hourly position and reports to the Sales Supervisor. Working overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

On average, each farm milks around 120 cows and everyone pitches in to keep them happy and healthy - which means around-the-clock care!

Gulfport, MS Mobile, AL Pensacola, FL Key Responsibilities The Merchandiser shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Ordering ice cream and dairy products for customers, maintain shelf tags and display signs as directed by the supervisor. He or she will maintain a manageable inventory level in the cooler or freezer and stock, rotate and merchandise products. The successful applicant will also provide timely and consistent service while projecting a positive attitude. Must be able to develop and maintain a good working relationship with the customers. Required Qualifications Must have a valid operator's license with a good driving record. Must be able to have reliable transportation to, from, and between work locations. Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.Minimum age:
18 Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work well with numbers. Ability to have good phone etiquette. Must have customer service skills. Must be able to use an ordering device for inventory. Must be able to follow diagrams and written instructions. Driving in a safe and courteous manner.Required Soft Skills:
Ability to work without direct supervision. Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Coachable and willing to learn. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Competency Must be able to read and write English and perform basic math calculations. Strong attention-to-detail and organizational skills. Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks and a willingness to learn. Working Conditions S(he) will be required to climb, crawl, and walk in an upright as well as a bent position when placing stock on shelves or racks, setting up merchandise and sales promotion displays, issuing sales promotion materials to customers, and collecting or picking up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise. The Full-Service Merchandiser will have to stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually as well as drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds throughout the shift. He or she will be required to work in very hot (100+ degree) and very cool (less than 32 degree) environments throughout the year. He or she will also be required to work outside, in whatever the conditions are, most of the time. About Prairie Farms - "Farmer Owned. Locally Produced. Since 1938."
