Visual Designer / Merchandise & Inventory Coordinator Job Overview Ashley Furniture is seeking a highly organized and creative Visual Designer / Merchandise & Inventory Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the showroom's visual appeal while ensuring all merchandise is accurately displayed, tagged, organized, and inventoried. The ideal candidate has an eye for design, thrives in an organized environment, and enjoys creating an exceptional shopping experience for our guests. Responsibilities Design and maintain visually appealing furniture displays throughout the showroom. Ensure all merchandise is properly placed according to company merchandising standards. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the sales floor, décor, accessories, and display areas. Track and manage showroom inventory, ensuring accuracy and proper product placement. Coordinate the movement of merchandise on and off the showroom floor. Verify pricing, signage, and product information are accurate and up to date. Assist with receiving new merchandise and organizing inventory. Work closely with management to execute seasonal floor sets and promotional displays. Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs or discrepancies. Keep the warehouse and showroom organized to maximize efficiency. Assist with assembling, staging, and arranging furniture displays. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure the showroom remains inviting and guest-ready at all times. Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask. Creative eye for furniture placement, color coordination, and visual presentation. Ability to lift and move furniture with assistance when needed. Comfortable using computers and inventory management systems. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Retail merchandising, visual design, inventory management, or warehouse experience preferred but not required. Preferred Skills Experience in visual merchandising or interior decorating. Inventory control and product organization experience. Ability to read floor plans and execute merchandising layouts. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and inventory software). Knowledge of furniture and home décor trends is a plus.
