Apparel Merchandiser / Buyer (Activewear & Athleisure)

Full-Time About Us PNW USA Inc. is a growing apparel company specializing in activewear, athleisure, and private label manufacturing. We are looking for a creative, trend-driven Merchandiser / Buyer who is passionate about fashion and understands today's active lifestyle market. Position Summary As an Apparel Merchandiser / Buyer, you will be responsible for researching market trends, analyzing competitors, identifying new product opportunities, and helping develop seasonal collections. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong eye for fashion, understands consumer behavior, and enjoys discovering the next big trend in activewear. Responsibilities Research fashion and apparel trends, with a focus on activewear, athleisure, running, fitness, and outdoor apparel. Monitor competitor brands, retailers, and e-commerce marketplaces for new product opportunities. Analyze market trends, pricing, colors, fabrics, silhouettes, and seasonal direction. Source and recommend new products, materials, trims, and fabric innovations. Assist in planning seasonal assortments and product line development. Create trend reports, mood boards, and competitive analysis presentations. Visit retail stores, trade shows, and fashion events to gather market intelligence. Work closely with the sales, product development, and design teams to develop products that meet customer needs. Identify emerging brands and consumer trends through social media, online platforms, and industry publications. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of merchandising, buying, product development, or apparel industry experience. Strong knowledge of activewear, sportswear, athleisure, and current fashion trends. Experience researching brands such as Lululemon, Alo Yoga, Vuori, Gymshark, Bandit Running, YoungLA, and other performance apparel brands is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus. Ability to travel locally for market research and trade shows when needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with private label or OEM apparel. Understanding of fabric performance, garment construction, and apparel costing. Familiarity with Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shopify, or other e-commerce platforms is a plus. Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is a plus, but not required.
