As a Part-Time Overnight Traveling Retail Merchandiser at Retail Odyssey in Ralphs, you'll be responsible for ensuring optimal product display and movement at retail locations. Before we get into the interview questions, a few things about our company: We handle product movement at retail. We display it, we move it, we track it; making sure stores and their product suppliers have the best opportunities for optimal sales. When you join the Retail Odyssey team in Ralphs as a Travel Retail Merchandiser, you'll be making a difference by ensuring the latest products match the new plan. This position may require working in all areas of the store, including the freezer section. We pride ourselves on being the face of our company and require that individuals be kind, courteous, and helpful to all customers in the store. Our goal is to optimize the shopper's experience!LOCATION & TRAVEL
- Primarily located in Southern California metro city areas
Travel Requirements:
Sunday through Thursday, typically 10:00 pm start time. However, sometimes depending on the workload the request might be as early as 9:00 pm for the start time (Sunday 12:00AM-8:30AM).- Must be able to travel extensively throughout the state of Southern California.
- Travel to and from home is not provided, it is your responsibility to get to the job locations. Mileage over regular commute of 40 miles, whichever comes first will be paid mileage at .70 a mile.
- You are responsible for getting yourself to and from the work location as well as having adequate transportation while at the work locations. Anything over 50 miles from residence is a long-distance project. Retail Odyssey provides lodging and will pay $40/day per-diem plus mileage & travel time which will be in the following paycheck.
- There is a possibility that travel will be needed to more than one location during a work night as there are often scheduled updates at the last minute that will need to be met.
- Additional work may be available when regular projects are low.
- We cannot guarantee group travel accommodation, but we will do our best.
- If you carpool with anyone on the team you are expected to show up for scheduled shifts if the person you ride with calls out from work.
