Job Description

Job Summary The role involves sorting donations to determine what can be sold or recycled based on condition and style, guiding volunteers, and tagging clothes according to a predefined list of name brands and fashionable lines. Additionally, it includes coordinating store orders, communicating with the warehouse and store managers to manage inventory, and ensuring specific items are on sale based on store needs.
Main Responsibilities:
Sort Donations. 4-5 sorts each day. Determine what can be sold and what can be recycled under the managers leadership. Follow and uphold the donation rules at KRM. Guide volunteers. Teach basic jobs and keep them busy. Answer questions to keep them on task. Prepare racks to go to the store. Using the organizations guide, prepare racks that are easy to stock the store. Paying attention to brand, style and what people are buying. Qualitly control on each peice being hung. Work with other members of Havens to accomplish tasks. Have a positive attitude. Help generally keep the warehouse clean. May involve baling overstock. May invlove tagging clothes for sale. Communication with warehouse and store. With the leadership and guidence of manager. Kokomo Rescue Mission:
Must possess a personal faith in Jesus Christ and pursue growing that faith in community with other believers. Must believe and adhere to the Kokomo Rescue Mission Doctrinal Statement and qualifications for employment outlined in the handbook. Must carry out the mission and vision of the Kokomo Rescue Mission while doing daily tasks. Must follow the leadership of the supervisor and work well with other KRM staff and clients.
Position Requirement:
Must excel in interpersonal relations skills. Must maintain professionalism. Must be compassionate and caring. Must be detail oriented and proficient in use of technology.
Education or Skill Set:
Experience in retail is preferred.
