YOUR MISSION

The Lead Merchandiser, Sport style Core Apparel, is responsible for developing and executing wholesale merchandising strategies that drive business growth, profitability, and brand alignment. Leveraging consumer insights, market trends, and commercial expertise, this role delivers seasonal financial and productivity objectives while ensuring alignment with PUMA's global brand strategy and regional business priorities. Develop and execute a channel-specific product strategy that drives profitable growth, strengthens brand equity, and delivers a consistent consumer experience.

Create, present, and manage seasonal line architecture and assortment plans that align with Sportsyle Core Business Unit objectives, Commercial channel requirements, consumer demand, and pricing strategies.

Leverage consumer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and commercial performance data to inform assortment decisions, product forecasts, pricing, launch timing, distribution strategies, and go-to-market execution.

Serve as the primary product expert for the channel, leading the seasonal pre-line process, identifying product opportunities, and refining assortments to address customer and market needs.

Partner closely with Global Business Units and Product Line Management to influence product creation and ensure regional and channel assortment needs are reflected in seasonal product offerings.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Planning, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to align on product strategies, financial objectives, key consumer and brand initiatives, and go-to-market plans.

Plan, forecast, and manage channel assortments to optimize product positioning, segmentation, margin performance, and sell-through results.

Own range selection and sampling exercises for seasonal product ranges

Drive successful go-to-market execution through leadership and participation in customer meetings, product presentations, sales meetings, and product launches.

Lead and support strategic initiatives, special projects, and cross-functional business opportunities that drive organizational objectives, enhance operational effectiveness, and contribute to the continued growth of the channel and brand.

YOUR TALENT

7-10 years of experience in Merchandising or Product Management in Wholesale or Retail organization

Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Retail Merchandising, or a related field

Business orientation, analytical aptitude, and retail math knowledge

Business knowledge of the US marketplace and consumer goods practiced including distribution channels, pricing, segmentation strategy, regional variances, product sourcing, planning, forecasting, design, development, and sales.

Thrives in a fast-paced environment with short timelines and changing priorities.

Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office Suite, including Photoshop.

Ability to travel 20-30% domestically and internationally. The hiring range base pay for this position is $90,200 - $122,430
