Position Summary:
The Merchandising Markdown Coordinator will manage and optimize markdown strategies using the Revionics Markdown tool. This role will collaborate with category teams to maximize profitability on end-of-life and end-of-season inventory, ensuring data-driven markdown decisions. Will analyze inventory levels, apply markdown optimization software, and provide insights to enhance pricing strategies. Additionally, the role will support the Manager of Pricing Strategy with ad hoc reporting and data analysis.

Grow Our People We care deeply about people, enjoy diversity and develop talent to get the best out of all of us Obsess Over Customers We delight our customers with innovative products and experiences that support a healthier future for people and planet Win Together We collaborate across boundaries to deliver on our strategy and purpose Operational Excellence Establish Markdown pricing for a specific grouping of categories based on reset schedules for end-of-life items that delivers maximum profitability for the organization Calculate the financial impact to the categories and share with the pricing analysts to incorporate into their forecasts Planning and Execution Detect, research and correct data errors with reset lists that would impact retail operations and pricing margin Utilizes systems and trends to determine Return On Investment (ROI) on various existing programs as well as new program/service proposals. Teamwork Participate in special projects that improve business processes and/or departmental operations. Assist in daily operations of the Revionics base pricing tool, which may include but not limited to, category modeling, system rule setting, creating and analyzing various price reports
What You Will Bring:
2+ years of experience working with large sets of data. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel including the ability to efficiently sort information and generate reports. Must be comfortable with and capable of learning multiple software applications. Ability to interact with all levels of management in a fast paced, changing environment. Pay Range:
$25.43 - $33.89 This position will be on-site at the Giant Food Headquarters in Hyattsville, MD.
