A Merchandiser assists with marketing or promoting merchandise in a retail store. Advises on trends and styles; designs and creates merchandise displays in a store, to generate or improve customer sales. Works with sales associates, merchandise managers and product vendors. Monitors customer preferences and sales data.
Merchandiser is responsible for keeping the store clean, organized, fully stocked, and customer-ready. This role ensures products are accurately priced, properly displayed, and replenished according to Discount Freight & Grocery standards while maintaining a safe work environment and delivering an excellent shopping experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Keeping up to date on current prices in retail stores, while also ensuring that items are being priced correctly according to DFG's cost and the retail value. Merchandise inventories to fully stocked conditions as needed. Maintain an excellent work environment by keeping shelves, display cases, and workstations clean and organized. Receive products in accordance with company delivery protocol. Create signs & labels according to Discount Freight & Grocery standards. Safely and efficiently operate a manual and electric pallet jack. Promote a culture of safety by leading, teaching, and reinforcing all company safety standards. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
EDUCATIONAL, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
