Job Description
What will you do? A day in the life of an Associate Planner at Timberland looks a little like this. We are seeking a strategic and retail-savvy Associate Planner to join our team. The Associate Planner will be responsible for managing inventory, category forecasts, pricing, and promotions of accessories products that align with our brand strategy and targets. This role requires strong analytical skills, trend awareness, and problem-solving skills to drive sales and profitability. Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and historical sales data to forecast demand. Collaborate with buying, allocation, and inventory teams to manage inventory levels and open-to-buy budgets. Manage key style plans to ensure appropriate inventory levels and align with buyers on future demand. Monitor unshipped inventory and identify any unneeded demand that can be potentially shared with other distribution channels. Analyze product performance against expectations and communicate findings at weekly business review meetings. Manage accessories pricing and promotions that align with inventory, margin, and discount targets. Track product performance and make pricing and distribution recommendations that align with each style's intended lifecycle. Partner with merchandising and allocation on new store assortments that align with each location's selling and backroom capacity. What do you need to succeed? We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 0-2 years of experience and professional achievements. The foundation skills you will need in this position are: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or related field Planning or analytics experience in footwear, apparel, or fashion retail Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills Proficiency in Excel and merchandising systems (e.g., PLM, ERP) Deep understanding of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and retail math There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred. Experience with building and maintaining data models in Power BI Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Passion for retail and trend forecasting Now WE have a question for YOU. Hiring Range:
$53,600.00 USD - $67,000.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential:
This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
