Job Description:
Our client, an apparel company, is looking for an Associate Merchandiser to joint their team in NYC! Responsibilities Support the Senior Merchandiser across all stages of the merchandising lifecycle, from concept through execution Assist in the development of retailer presentations and provide support to the sales team during buyer meetings Partner closely with sales teams and retail buyers to understand needs, feedback, and opportunities Collaborate with graphic designers to develop product concepts that align with buyer direction and market trends Work cross-functionally with design and production teams to create new silhouettes, fabrics, and product innovations Conduct ongoing market and trend analysis to inform product direction and assortment strategy Utilize sales and pricing data to recommend promotional initiatives and drive business growth Identify top-performing styles and opportunities to maximize sales volume and profitability Review samples throughout development and production, providing feedback and approvals to ensure quality and accuracy Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term execution and long-term planning Solid understanding of merchandising principles, market trends, and industry best practices Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations Creative problem-solver with a strong eye for product and innovation Experience developing and delivering presentations to buyers, internal teams, and external partners Demonstrated success supporting merchandising strategies and promotional efforts Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Bachelor's degree in a related field Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings or market appointments Experience working with PLM systems is a plus
