Job Description

Job Title:
Merchandiser Report to the company President, and work with the Design Director and the sales team to influence assortment and design decisions and conceptualize new designs and build seasonal product lines. Identify trends for branded, licensed and private label lines that are trend right, appropriate for boys and girls newborn, infant & toddler playwear and size 4-10 sleepwear. To be sold at mass merchants, off-price, department and specialty stores. Prepare materials for design overview meetings, fabric meetings, and meetings where you will review with the sales team and sourcing team, the seasonal trends, styles and artwork. Work with sourcing team to ensure ther fabrics and body types are within the means for each line. Monitor industry trends and evaluate competition both in-stores and online; Track pricing and promotions of competitors to ensure we are in-line; propose ideas to help drive our business based on findings. Conduct regular "competitive shopping" and market analysis to identify white space, pricing opportunities, and emerging trends. Contribute to a positive, high-performing team environment; proactively support leadership through clear communication and ownership of responsibilities. Salary $100,000
