Contract type Freelance Location West Hollywood, CA Specialty Creative Salary $45-55/hr Remote No Reference 510241 Contact name Monica Cheng Job description An innovative prestige beauty brand is seeking a Visual Merchandiser and Store Designer to lead the development and execution of elevated retail environments across multiple store formats. In this role, you will shape the physical expression of a luxury brand by designing new store concepts, refining fixture standards, and driving visual merchandising initiatives from concept through installation. You will collaborate closely with global design partners, cross-functional teams, and external vendors to ensure every retail touchpoint is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest aesthetic standard. What you'll do: Lead the design and development of new stores and secondary retail formats based on established global standards Create 3D renderings and presentation materials for review and approval Partner with internal teams and external vendors to execute architectural and merchandising projects from concept to final installation Manage prototype development, material specifications, technical reviews, and production approvals Review construction documents, redline drawings, and oversee fabrication details and punch lists Maintain timelines, support budget management, and identify value-engineering opportunities without compromising design integrity Contribute to the evolution of store design standards, fixture details, and visual merchandising concepts Conduct site visits and post-install reviews to ensure exceptional brand execution in the field What we're looking for: 5+ years of experience in store design, retail architecture, visual merchandising, or a related field Strong experience managing design development, approvals, and execution across multiple stakeholders Ability to review and redline technical drawings, construction documents, and millwork packages Experience working within budgets and developing thoughtful, cost-conscious design solutions Proficiency in design and business tools such as SketchUp, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheet, and 3D rendering software Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills A proactive, adaptable, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail Experience within beauty, fashion, luxury, or prestige consumer brands is a plus Contract- 40 hours/week Hybrid- 3 days in office, 2 days work from home Monica Cheng View Monica Cheng's Jobs Benefits offered See Benefits
