We are looking for someone to help setup, merchandise , and run the Christmas Store. As the Retail Store Associate and Merchandiser, your energy and creativity will drive the visual appeal and operational excellence of the Christmas store. In this role, you will be cashiering, delivering exceptional customer service while expertly managing merchandising displays, inventory, and store presentation. Your proactive approach will ensure our store remains inviting, organized, and aligned with our branding standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in retail management, visual design, and customer engagement within a vibrant team environment. You will be responsible for the Christmas store but will have help from and be working with several current Store Managers. Responsibilities Implement visual merchandising strategies to optimize product placement and store aesthetics. Assist in organizing projects, interior design updates, and store layout improvements using creativity and visual design principles. Operate material handling equipment safely for heavy lifting and stock movement, ensuring inventory accuracy. Manage inventory control processes including stocking, pricing, and stock rotation to maintain product availability. Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing client needs, providing product information, and enhancing shopping experiences. Use mobile devices and POS systems to process transactions accurately while handling cash and performing cash handling duties. Support training and development initiatives for new team members, fostering leadership skills and teamwork. Experience Proven retail store experience with a strong understanding of merchandising, inventory management, and customer service. Supervising experience or leadership roles in retail or related environments is highly desirable. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for visual design tasks is a plus. Ability to operate store management systems efficiently while demonstrating organizational skills. Multilingual abilities are advantageous for communicating with diverse customer bases. Previous Christmas store retailing & merchandising or similar would be helpful. Must be team player with a great attitude that fits in well with the rest of our 18 person staff. Although this position starts out seasonal, the right person who helped the store become successful would likely get an invitation to become part of our permanent team employed after the Christmas season is over.
