Job Description
Overview We are seeking an experienced Store Merchandising Manager to lead our retail store operations in Orange Beach. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for visual design, and extensive knowledge of merchandising strategies. This role involves overseeing daily store activities, managing inventory, and ensuring an engaging shopping environment that aligns with brand standards. The Store Merchandising Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales, enhancing customer experience, and supporting store remodeling and interior design initiatives. Candidates with supervisory experience, proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and a background in retail sales and marketing are highly preferred. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the store team to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency. Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies, including planograms and visual displays, to maximize sales potential. Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels. Manage pricing strategies, POS systems, and cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. Coordinate remodeling projects, interior design updates, and store branding initiatives to create an appealing shopping environment. Utilize Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for creating visual designs, promotional materials, and signage. Conduct training and development sessions for staff on merchandising techniques, product knowledge, and customer service standards. Monitor sales performance metrics using retail math principles; analyze data to inform strategic decisions. Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety standards are maintained throughout the store. Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns that enhance store visibility and sales. Qualifications Proven supervisory or store management experience in a retail environment. Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and visual design tools. Knowledge of merchandising principles including planograms, schematics, branding, and interior design. Experience with remodeling projects or interior redesign is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and store operations. Background in retail sales, marketing, or customer service preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines; time management skills are essential. Familiarity with POS systems, retail math calculations, cash handling procedures, and administrative tasks is desirable.
