This position maintains inventory accuracy, purchases replacement parts, receives shipments, and works closely with maintenance technicians and production to minimize equipment downtime. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain an organized and accurate maintenance parts inventory. Issue parts, tools, and supplies to maintenance personnel. Receive, inspect, and stock incoming maintenance parts and materials. Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts before stock is depleted. Create purchase requisitions and coordinate with purchasing to order parts. Maintain records of inventory transactions using the company's CMMS or ERP system. Research and identify replacement parts using manuals, vendor catalogs, and OEM documentation. Coordinate with vendors for pricing, availability, and lead times. Maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels for critical spare parts. Label and organize shelves, bins, and storage locations. Conduct cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventories. Ensure warranty parts are properly documented and returned when applicable. Assist in developing and maintaining a critical spare parts list for all production equipment. Maintain housekeeping standards (5S) throughout the maintenance storeroom. Support emergency maintenance needs by quickly locating and issuing required parts. Follow all company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or technical training preferred. 2-5 years of maintenance storeroom, inventory, or industrial maintenance experience preferred. Experience with CMMS or ERP software is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify industrial components. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Knowledge and Skills Industrial maintenance parts and equipment Bearings, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, and electrical components Inventory management Purchasing procedures Vendor relations Blueprint and parts manual interpretation Cycle counting and inventory control Strong problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday. Operate a forklift or pallet jack (or obtain certification). Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving equipment. Performance Expectations Maintain 98% or greater inventory accuracy. Ensure critical spare parts remain in stock. Process maintenance parts requests promptly to minimize downtime. Complete cycle counts according to schedule. Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready storeroom. Support preventive maintenance by ensuring required parts are available before scheduled work.
