Job Description

What is the job? The Senior Parts Sales Specialist is responsible for driving wholesale parts sales through exceptional customer responsiveness, proactive follow-up, and strong account management. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring rapid response to inquiries, accurate quoting, timely order fulfillment, and consistent follow-up on sales opportunities to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. The position proactively identifies customer needs, develops new sales opportunities and promotes parts solutions that support customer success. In addition, the Senior Parts Sales Specialist oversees inventory accuracy, pricing, procurement, warranty administration, and warehouse operations to ensure high service levels and operational efficiency. As a leader within the Parts Department, this role serves as a subject matter expert, supports team development, and partners with management to drive sales growth, customer retention, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Sales & Growth:
- Develop and grow wholesale parts sales through existing and new customer relationships.
- Grow revenue within existing accounts & re-engage inactive customers
- Proactively identify sales opportunities and follow up on open quotes.
- Develop new accounts and expand sales within existing accounts.
- Build relationships with contractors, dealers, service companies, and other wholesale customers.
- Identify customer needs and recommend parts and product solutions.
- Prepare competitive quotes and actively pursue opportunities through close.
- Track sales activity, quote conversion, customer opportunities, and account growth.
- Partner with management to develop strategies for increasing parts revenue and customer retention.
- Develop relationships with decision makers and purchasing contacts
Customer Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
- Maintain regular communication and follow-up with key accounts.
- Resolve customer issues and create a positive customer experience.
Parts/Operations:
- Source and procure parts.
- Coordinate order fulfillment.
- Support inventory accuracy.
- Process returns and warranty parts.
- Assist with warehouse and shipping activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of sales, inside sales, account management, customer service, or parts sales experience, preferably in a technical, mechanical, industrial, equipment, automotive, electrical, or power-generation environment.
- Order taking experience via phone, email, electronic process in a service industry.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, catalogs, computer displays, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent phone, computer and communication skills. Ability to speak effectively before customers and employees
- Ability to calculate discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
- Ability to accurately carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to provide sound advice and technical assistance to those with less experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office product. Familiar with Great Plains software, preferred.
- Possess and maintain a California Driver's License

Competitive Hourly Rate:
Pay range for this role is $28-35/hr + uncapped sales commission opportunity based on sales growth dependent upon experience §Health & Wellness:
