Hourly, Non-Exempt Role Overview This position is responsible for the administrative support of the Purchasing Manager parts department. This position is directly responsible for reviewing, inputting and processing all purchasing POs in inventory management systems (Cetaris, Navision) This role also supports cycle counts and the receiving of goods for all Foothill Packing operational locations, under the direction of the Procurement Manager. Company Overview Foothill Packing is an agricultural support company specializing in customer harvesting in Arizona and California. This role supports the company's vision and business needs, ensuring compliance and maximizing employee relations and engagement. Supervisory Responsibilities None Essential Duties and Responsibilities Documenting and maintaining all vendor contact information and securing it in a common area for all areas of operations, currently Salinas, Huron, Yuma, El Centro. Process and close all completed POs in inventory management systems (Cetaris, Navision) Verifying/confirming purchase order and amounts. Prepare documents for payment using computer systems for accounts payable in a timely manner. Working with Manager in developing and maintaining approved vendor list. Receive parts into inventory system verifying accuracy with physical inventory Perform cycle counts of inventory parts Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating flexibility in working hours. Perform other duties as assigned. Professional Attitude and Cost Control Foster a professional work environment focused on productivity and financial growth. Ensure the quality of work and materials contributes to the long-term financial gains of the company. Manage direct and indirect costs associated with fleet repairs, maintenance, projects, and facility improvements. Maintain detailed records of all materials, labor, and costs. Comply with company policies, standard operating procedures, and all local, state, and federal regulations. Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with multitasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual and biliterate in English/Spanish. Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Ability to collaborate effectively with all employees and external stakeholders. Experience in the agricultural industry, preferably in harvesting or farm labor contracting. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). Previous experience with inventory management software. Valid driver's license (if operating a company vehicle). Physical Requirements and Work Environment Prolonged standing and walking on uneven ground. Moderate lifting (up to 60 pounds). Manual dexterity required for handling, writing, and operating equipment. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. Ability to hear alarms and machinery and tolerate moderate to high noise levels. Fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions. Polite interaction with customers and vendors. Communication through various methods, including in-person, telephone, and radio.
Travel:
Position based in Salinas. Travel as need based on business needs.
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
