Job Title:
Automotive Dealership Parts Counterperson Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Automotive Dealership Parts Counterperson to join our team. Previous experience with Hyundai/Kia, Honda, Subaru or Toyota a plus. As a Parts Counterperson, you will be responsible for assisting customers (back counter, wholesale and front counter" with their automotive parts needs, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner and assist them with their automotive parts needs
  • Lookup and source automotive parts using various catalog systems and software
  • Provide accurate pricing and availability information to customers
  • Process parts orders and assist with billing and invoicing
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking incoming and outgoing shipments, and conducting regular stock checks
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized parts department
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure customer needs are met
  • Attend training and development programs to stay up-to-date with new products and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an automotive parts or service role preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to use computer-based catalog systems and software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
