As a Parts Counter Person at VW Danbury, you will be responsible for assisting customers and technicians with their parts needs, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a well-organized parts inventory.
Responsibilities:
•Assist customers and service technicians in identifying and obtaining the correct parts for vehicles. Process parts orders, including looking up parts in the system, preparing invoices, and handling payments. Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks, and assist with receiving and stocking new parts shipments. Provide excellent customer service, answering inquiries, and offering solutions to parts-related questions. Communicate effectively with the service department to ensure timely delivery of parts for repairs. Assist with merchandising and maintaining a clean and organized parts department. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in automotive parts sales or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficient in using computer systems for parts look-up and inventory management. Ability to lift and move heavy parts (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
