Job Description
Parts & Service Supervisor All American Trailer Connection $60K-75K per year | Fort Myers, FL | Full-Time At All American Trailer Connection, the Parts & Service Supervisor runs the floor. You're the senior set of hands at the counter, the lead voice on the phone with customers, and the person the GM partners with every morning to hit the day's targets. You still write service, still ring up parts, and still move trailers, but you also own the rhythm of the department and the experience customers walk away with. If you've been a strong service writer or parts pro who's ready to step up, set the tone, raise the standard, and have a real say in how the shop runs, this is your seat. What You'll Own Day-to-Day Department Leadership Meet with the General Manager daily to review revenue, open service orders, parts margins, and what's needed to hit store goals Set the pace and the standard on the floor for how customers are greeted, how estimates are built, and how repairs get closed out Identify bottlenecks (parts shortages, scheduling gaps, warranty backlogs) and surface fixes before they cost the store Lead by example as the writer and counter pro newer team members watch and learn from Help the GM with hiring input, training new hires, and keeping the team sharp Parts & Service Greet customers, write up accurate repair orders, and build cost estimates covering parts and labor Schedule the right technician for each job and keep customers updated from drop-off to pickup Call customers when additional work is found, explain the why and the cost, and get authorization Manage warranty claims from open to close, on time and documented Coordinate post-repair delivery, quality checks, and trailer hookups on new sales Run the parts counter: cashier sales, suggestive-sell add-ons, and help customers find the right part the first time Keep the showroom stocked and organized, and lead inventory cycle counts Actively prospect and follow up to drive department revenue. This department doesn't wait for the phone to ring Drive sales by identifying and calling on key accounts Call on existing customers for preventive maintenance and upgrades, and reach out to new fleets and commercial accounts to grow the book Partner with the GM on promotions, seasonal pushes, and outreach campaigns Yard & Forklift Be fully trained and capable of operating a forklift to unload freight, move parts, and shuffle trailers around the lot. When the job needs doing, you can do it Supervise and direct labor to stage trailers for service, delivery, and customer pickup Manage workflow so the yard stays organized and techs aren't waiting on equipment Make sure forklift and yard work is done safely and to standard, whether you're operating or directing You'll Thrive Here If You Have 5+ years in a service writer, service advisor, parts counter, or parts/service lead role (trailer, RV, truck, heavy equipment, or auto dealership background all welcome) A track record of leadership , whether by title or by reputation, as the person others looked to on the floor Comfort picking up the phone to grow business. You're not afraid to call a customer who hasn't been in for a while or introduce yourself to a new fleet account Strong command of estimates, repair orders, warranty claims, and the math behind margins and labor hours Solid mechanical understanding of trailers, hitches, brakes, lights, axles, and bearings Confidence in tough conversations with customers, with techs, and with the GM about what's working and what isn't Sharp computer and data-entry skills (DMS, repair order systems, inventory software) Forklift experience required Valid driver's license, professional appearance, and the ability to pass a background check and random drug screening What We Offer $60-75K Per Year (Competitive base salary plus store bonus tied to store goals) 401(k) with employer match Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Up to 3 weeks PTO + paid holidays A real path for growth (we promote from within) A schedule that respects your life: Mon-Fri 9-5, Sat 9-1, no nights
