Job Description

The Fire & Emergency Parts Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to fire departments, municipalities, emergency service organizations, and internal service personnel. This position manages parts inquiries, processes orders, coordinates shipments, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner to minimize apparatus downtime. Assist customers in identifying and ordering replacement parts for fire apparatus, ambulances, rescue vehicles, and emergency equipment. Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person. Prepare quotations and pricing for parts requests. Process customer orders accurately and efficiently. Build and maintain strong relationships with fire departments, fleet managers, and service personnel. Follow up on open quotes and backordered items. Parts Identification & Procurement Research parts using manufacturer catalogs, online systems, schematics, and technical documentation. Identify OEM and aftermarket replacement parts. Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to source hard-to-find parts. Maintain knowledge of fire apparatus systems, including: Pump systems Electrical components Lighting systems Hydraulic equipment Foam systems Breathing air systems Emergency warning devices Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of parts, warehouse, automotive, heavy truck, or fire apparatus experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Ability to learn parts lookup systems and ERP software. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Valid driver's license. Preferred Experience in the fire apparatus, emergency vehicle, heavy truck, or fleet maintenance industry. Knowledge of OEM parts catalogs and technical schematics. Experience with inventory control and warehouse operations. Understanding of purchasing and supply chain processes.
