Responsibilities Engage with customers to understand their vehicle needs related to engines, transmissions, and other used parts, offering expert advice and solutions. Manage inventory levels of automotive parts, ensuring accurate stock control and timely order fulfillment. Utilize automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting skills to identify suitable parts for customer vehicles. Negotiate prices and terms with customers to close sales effectively while maintaining excellent customer relationships. Maintain detailed records of sales transactions using POS systems and inventory management software such as CMMS or similar tools. Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, follow-up, and personalized service to encourage repeat business. Assist with vehicle maintenance knowledge transfer by explaining part functions, installation procedures, and automotive repair basics when needed. Skills Extensive knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle systems including engines and transmissions. Proven experience in retail sales within the automotive industry or dealership environment. Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities to engage diverse customers effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, inventory control systems, POS platforms, and automotive repair software like CMMS. Mechanical troubleshooting expertise coupled with automotive diagnostics skills to accurately assess customer needs. Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for serving a diverse customer base. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management, order fulfillment, and record keeping. Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette proficiency and a professional approach to client communication.
