Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable Automotive Parts Advisor to join our team! In this role, you will be the go-to expert for our restoration mechanics and technicians seeking classic automotive parts and accessories. Your energetic approach will ensure a seamless experience, sourcing and ordering the right parts quickly while providing exceptional service. You'll play a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy, managing repair order transactions, and supporting our automotive restoration, vehicle maintenance and repair operation. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for all things classic automotive, this may be the role for you! Duties Identifying and selecting the correct classic automotive parts, accessories, and supplies through expert product knowledge. Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting regular stock checks, and updating stock levels using inventory management systems. Process transactions efficiently using Tekmetric automove software and POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit card payments, and cash handling procedures with accuracy. Collaborate with mechanics, technicians and the shop manager to ensure timely order fulfillment for vehicle restoration, repairs and maintenance. Maintain organized shelving, proper labeling, and customer folder system to optimize workflow. Qualifications Proven experience in dealership or retail automotive parts sourcing and sales or related automotive service roles, specifically classic vehicle parts. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette. Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes. Knowledge of stock management practices is preferred.
