Plumbing Parts Specialist (Office Role - Former Plumbers Encouraged) East Coast Mechanical (ECM) - West Palm Beach, FL Tired of working in the field?

Position Overview:

If you know plumbing parts but want steady hours, AC, and a long-term career path, this role is for you. East Coast Mechanical is looking for a Plumbing Parts Specialist / Buyer to support our service team. You do NOT need prior purchasing experience; we will train you. What matters is your plumbing knowledge and real-world experience. What You'll Do Order plumbing parts and equipment for service and install jobs Work directly with technicians and managers to make sure the right parts are ordered the first time Communicate with vendors on pricing, availability, and lead times Track orders and follow up on backorders or delays Verify invoices match what was ordered Help improve parts processes and vendor relationships Who This Role Is Perfect For Plumbers who are tired of the field Parts runners or warehouse team members Supply house counter reps Anyone with strong plumbing knowledge who wants to move into an office role Why This Role Is Different No field work Consistent schedule (no nights/on-call) Work in AC—not attics and crawlspaces Use your plumbing knowledge without the physical wear and tear Long-term growth into operations or management What We're Looking For Plumbing experience OR purchasing experience Strong attention to detail Good communication and organization Basic computer/Excel skills (we'll train you on our systems) Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Weekly payroll Medical, Dental, Vision 401(k) with match PTO + Paid Training Career growth opportunities
