Parts & Service Manager SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing customers with product and part support. Assist in identifying and supplying the correct components as required by customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain strong customer relations Promote parts sales at the parts counter Become fluent in the current parts inventory system Compare packing slips with quantities actually received Compare invoices to packing slips for validity, code invoices using correct ledger account numbers Responsible for surplus returns to vendors. Responsible for store display area, including always keeping the area clean and organized Promote good working relations between fellow employees and develop a positive environment Assist in planning and implementing innovative workplace improvement initiatives Assist in maintaining acceptable levels of inventory necessary to achieve the desired inventory turns Perform the daily close, weekly inventory tie reports and month end reports in inventory system software. All other duties and tasks assigned by management.
Qualification Requirements:
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and components Working experience in a customer service related field, retail farm dealership or in the use of or repair of farm equipment preferred Experience with using service/parts manuals for information or part numbers preferred Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to accurately input data into software Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred Basic math skill involving percentages and markups While performing the duties, employee is regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl The employee will occasionally be required to lift up to 80 lbs. Employee will be required to operate all machinery necessary to complete the task at hand.
