Job Description

Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the supply chain and ensuring that all parts are available for our automotive services. This position requires strong organizational skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Parts Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory while collaborating with various departments to meet the demands of our operations. Duties Manage the supply chain effectively to ensure timely availability of parts and materials. Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally. Oversee supplier management and maintain strong relationships with vendors. Utilize automotive diagnostics to identify parts needed for repairs and maintenance. Handle warehouse management tasks including inventory control, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment. Implement procurement management strategies to optimize purchasing processes. Conduct demand planning to forecast inventory needs based on service requirements. Utilize ERP systems and CMMS for tracking inventory levels and managing orders. Negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive costs for parts. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries related to parts availability and specifications. Maintain accurate data entry for inventory records and supplier information. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to support production needs through effective parts sourcing. Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, or inventory management within an automotive or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with automotive service processes, including auto body repair and equipment repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose automotive issues effectively. Experience using order management systems. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on supplier relationships and pricing strategies. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with experience in logistics and demand planning. Previous dealership experience is a plus but not required. Proficient in data entry and maintaining accurate records within an inventory control system.
