  • Monday-Friday As a Parts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our vehicles and equipment.
In this position, you will be responsible for promptly and efficiently ensuring parts are received, maintained and distributed to our shop technicians. You will also be responsible for parts inventory and all related record keeping for parts to include but not limited to purchase orders and parts requisitions. A successful Parts Specialist will have basic automative knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Primary Job Functions:
Maintains professional and courteous customer relationships with client, vendor, and internal team Ensures parts inventory is received, maintained and distributed according to specified procedures Keeps inventory and all related records organized and orderly for ease of retrieval Prepares and audits parts requisitions; Keeps up with daily reporting of current with status of parts Controls access to the spare parts crib Assists with parts inventory Maintain a clean and safe work area, complying with corporate and OSHA standards.

Operational, safety and other needs may require the employee to perform any and all other duties assigned. Employees are expected and must perform all such duties and tasks.
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in parts/automative maintenance shop Ability to provide a high level of customer service to drivers and customers. Must have a team-orientated attitude & openness to help wherever needed. Strong attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills Must have strong ability to operate efficiently, in a fast-paced high-volume environment. Must have strong ability to think critically and solve problems. General knowledge of safe job practices & regulations related to OSHA, EPA and DOT requirements. Proficiency operating modern maintenance/parts technology systems.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, CDL a plus
  • Position may require some local travel
Physical Requirements:
Physical activities include walking, standing, lifting, twisting, bending, stopping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, turning, pulling, pushing, climbing a ladder, must be able to lift 50 lbs, etc Must be able to use arms, arms, and fingers; constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Must have the ability to work in inclement weather and non-climate-controlled environments for extended periods of time. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, paint-dust, and other environmental conditions. #hilcom
