Apply skills in a primary craft gained from practical experience. Possess an in-depth understanding of maintenance history of the building, equipment, and other facilities to be maintained. Use expertise for diagnosis and emergency repairs, provide preventive and cost-efficient repairs, use all shop machinery and hand tools, act as leader for less-skilled assistants, consult with engineers and vendors.

NATURE OF WORK
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the spare parts program Job includes necessary interface with the spare parts inventory control software program Facilitating and support site inventory audits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain proper quantity and selection of spare parts and materials to perform plant and facility repairs. Quantity and selection criteria are determined by plant supervision, engineers, equipment manufacturers, and equipment history. Maintain spare parts warehouses to ensure availability and efficient issuance and receipt of spare parts. Provide and input part/materials purchases and receipts into the computerized spare parts inventory systems. Work in conjunction with Sourcing to ensure that materials are purchased in conformance to specifications, cost, and delivery lead times. undefined Work with service center to ensure vendors are paid and purchase orders are submitted to the appropriate vendor. undefined Facilitate spare part logistics when required. Provide expedited purchase and delivery of spare parts as required by the Operations and Maintenance departments. Perform physical inventories as required to insure inventory accuracy. Perform periodic cycle counts of spare parts to insure inventory control systems are working properly. Perform adjustment as necessary to insure that the balance on hand reflects the proper inventory. undefined Facilitate and/or support site inventory audits. Provide purchase requisitions with the use of the system software to purchase and receive spare parts. Coordinate purchases and deliveries with Sourcing. Maintain the database of the spare parts system. Update master data base for spare parts inventory levels, delivery lead time, vendor, parts description and parts specification. Issue parts and equipment numbers as needed as a result of new or modified plant installations. Assist in the determination of proper minimum and maximum spare parts inventory levels. Issue spare parts for work orders as necessary to maintain plant equipment. Provide parts pick lists, work order kits, and reservation of spare parts as needed by the maintenance supervisor. Monitor the selection, usage, and availability of non-stock parts and material to insure availability when needed. Provide inventory management reports on a periodic basis to supervision. Alert management through the use of these reports of problems in the spare parts system. undefined Work with engineering, operations and maintenance teams to develop equipment bill of materials(BOMs) and spare parts strategy for new and existing equipment. undefined Ensure adherence to all management systems including, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and Food Safety, with an understanding of IFF's Quality and Environmental Policies and procedures. Responsible that these policies and procedures are implemented throughout the organization and all related activities under the position's jurisdiction. QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with spare parts inventory systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software. Experience with SAP or inventory software.
