Job Description

Purpose This role is responsible for supporting the LPX Group Shop by ensuring technicians receive the parts, supplies, and materials they need to perform repairs efficiently. The Shop Parts Runner also plays a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environment while providing excellent service to internal customers and vendors. This position requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency. The Shop Parts Runner will report directly to the LPX Group Shop Leadman. Duties and Responsibilities Work in alignment with LPX Group Core Values. Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and materials from local vendors in a safe and timely manner. Verify that the correct parts and quantities are received before returning to the shop. Deliver parts promptly to technicians to minimize equipment downtime. Return incorrect, warranty, and core parts to vendors as required. Maintain receipts, packing slips, and other documentation for parts purchases and returns. Assist with receiving, organizing, stocking, and labeling parts inventory. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop, parts room, yard, and storage areas. Sweep floors, empty trash, organize work areas, and assist with general housekeeping duties. Load, unload, and move parts, tools, and materials as needed. Coordinate with vendors and shop personnel to ensure timely delivery of critical parts. Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of assigned company vehicle. Operate company vehicles in a safe and professional manner while representing LPX Group. Assist technicians and shop personnel with miscellaneous support tasks as needed. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Other duties as assigned. Education and Qualifications High school diploma or GED is required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, automotive, construction, or parts-related environment is preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge of construction equipment or heavy trucks is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, vendors, and management. Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Basic computer and smartphone proficiency for communication and documentation.
