Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Parts Clerk, where you will be the vital link in managing automotive parts and supplies to ensure seamless operations within our service and repair departments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help maintain optimal inventory levels, facilitate efficient order processing, and support our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your supply chain management skills while working in a fast-paced automotive environment. You will be responsible for inventory control, supplier coordination, and utilizing advanced systems to streamline procurement and parts management processes. Responsibilities Manage inventory levels through accurate data entry and regular stock audits using ERP systems and order management software. Coordinate with suppliers to source OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery aligned with demand planning. Process purchase orders, track shipments, and oversee shipping & receiving activities to maintain optimal warehouse flow. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge and mechanical understanding to verify parts compatibility and assist with automotive service needs. Maintain detailed records in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and AS400 platforms for inventory control and procurement management. Support warehouse operations by operating forklifts safely, managing equipment repair requests, and ensuring compliance with safety standards such as HVAC maintenance when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by assisting dealership staff or clients with parts inquiries, order status updates, and sourcing specific components efficiently. Experience Proven experience in supply chain management within an automotive or manufacturing setting. Familiarity with warehouse management, shipping & receiving, and inventory control procedures. Hands-on knowledge of automotive diagnostics, auto body repair processes, and OEM parts sourcing. Experience working with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management platforms. Strong negotiation skills for procurement management and supplier relations. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not mandatory. Mechanical knowledge combined with data entry proficiency to ensure accurate record keeping and inventory accuracy.
