W. L. French Excavating (WLF), one of the leading site subcontractors and transportation companies in the greater Boston area, and a USA Today and Boston Globe Top Place to Work, has an opening for a Parts Specialist at our maintenance facility working second shift. Full-time or part-time hours can be accommodated. This person will be an integral part of the maintenance team, reporting to the Parts Manager. The Parts Specialist will join a team of dedicated professionals focused on ensuring that our field staff and site projects have the equipment, parts, and supplies needed to meet and exceed client and project needs.

What You'll Do:

Establish & maintain inventory Responsible for ordering parts for auto, truck and equipment repairs (and returns as well) Maintain inventory control processes for parts, supplies, and third-party equipment to include physical inventory counts, stock adjustments, receiving, and inventory reconciliation. Work with different vendors to leverage shipping time and costs to ensure the timely receipt of parts for maintenance operations. Communicate with maintenance staff regarding repair priority and delivery updates. Maintain a neat and clean appearance in the parts room.

Who You Are:

A strong bias for action and initiative. Ability to evaluate priority and exercise the appropriate level of urgency to ensure smooth repair operations. Strong verbal & written communication. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and vendor management Willingness to learn company software Required experience: Inventory Management Purchasing Valid driver's license MS Office Willingness to learn specialized Maintenance & Inventory software (B2w) Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, and have a satisfactory driving record
