Job Description

The Parts Department Specialist plays a vital role in executing accurate part orders and ensuring the smooth operation of our part allocation and inventory systems. This position requires strong teamwork and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with vendors, customers, technicians, and managers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Shop Manager to determine required parts and place orders accordingly. Receive all parts promptly, unpack, organize, and store them in designated bins and shelves. Process shipping and receiving orders. Maintain regular communication with the Shop Manager regarding the status of incoming and received parts. Ensure accurate pricing, barcoding, and storage of all stock and special-order parts. Perform quarterly inventory audits with a focus on integrity and accuracy. Audit parts costs per vendor during purchasing to secure the best price. Manage stock inventory levels of frequently used parts such as screens, filters, lights, etc. Collaborate with the Shop Manager to optimize inventory layout and systems efficiency. Assist in pulling and staging parts for technicians and upcoming projects. Conduct inventory audits regularly and manage inventory rotation effectively. Maintain accurate cost records per asset in inventory. Cultivate positive relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable pricing. Provide exceptional customer service by facilitating part orders, issuing quotes, and resolving customer concerns. Ensure the timely and accurate processing of part orders and documentation on work orders. Communicate with drivers/operators, technicians, and vendors via email, text, and phone to facilitate accurate and timely orders. Prioritize technician needs with a sense of urgency. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
2-4 Years experience in parts departments (heavy duty on road and offroad is preferred). High school diploma or GED equivalent. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; comfortable with technology. Valid driver's license and ability to adhere to company driver policies. Physical ability to bend, squat, climb equipment, lift at least 75 lbs, and stand or walk for extended periods.
Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
