Job Description

Activités Job/Position main responsibilities Inventory & Tool Management Issue, receive, and track tools, parts, machine components, and supplies used by maintenance and production personnel. Maintain accurate inventory through daily counts, cycle counts, and proper documentation. Inspect tools and equipment for damage; coordinate repair, replacement, or calibration as needed. Organize and label all crib items for easy accessibility and efficient workflow. Ordering & Stock Control Monitor usage trends to determine replenishment needs. Create purchase requisitions and work with procurement to restock tools, parts, and consumables. Data Entry & Documentation Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or ERP software to log transactions, update inventory levels, and track purchase requests. Maintain records of tool distribution, calibration schedules, and part issuance. Assist with work order documentation by supplying required materials accurately and on time. Housekeeping & Safety Ensure the tool crib remains orderly, clean, and compliant with 5S and safety standards. Follow all company safety procedures, including PPE requirements and safe tool handling. Support the maintenance department in identifying and resolving safety issues related to tools and equipment. Customer Service & Support Provide prompt, friendly service to maintenance technicians and production personnel. Help team members locate needed tools or materials and make recommendations for alternatives when items are unavailable. Communicate inventory shortages, delays, or equipment issues to supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with Production, Maintenance, Purchasing and other plant and office personnel. Attention to detail and accuracy. Must have good computer skills with a working knowledge of basic spreadsheet and data logging applications ( Word, Excel, Lotus notes) Required High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in maintenance, manufacturing, warehouse, or inventory control environment. Basic computer skills (CMMS, ERP, Microsoft Office preferred). Strong organization, communication, and multitasking ability. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Preferred Associates degree in one of the following areas. Associate of Applied Science (AAS)
  • Industrial Maintenance Technology AAS
  • Supply Chain Management / Logistics AAS
  • Industrial Engineering Technology AAS
  • Business Administration (Operations Focus) AAS
  • Mechatronics or Electrical/Mechanical Technology Familiarity with industrial tools, mechanical components, and maintenance processes.
Previous experience as a tool crib attendant or parts coordinator. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must be able to do basic data entry in Word, Excel and be able to learn new systems.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical specifications for comparison. Understanding of mathematical basics and mechanical components.

Driver's Liscence (Ability to obtain Hutchinson Hi-Lo License.)
