POSITION OVERVIEW

Midwest Power Equipment is looking for a detail-oriented Parts Department Associate to keep our service department running smoothly. This role is the link between our technicians and our parts inventory — making sure the right parts are ordered, received, stocked, and in the right hands at the right time. If you're organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment, and enjoy keeping things moving, this is a great fit.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Review open technician work orders daily to identify parts needed for active and upcoming jobs
• Source, order, and track parts from vendors and suppliers to fulfill service department needs
• Receive incoming parts shipments, verify against purchase orders, and stock inventory accurately
• Deliver parts to technicians in the shop in a timely manner to keep jobs moving
• Enter and process purchase orders accurately in Eagle
• Participate in regular inventory counts and help maintain count accuracy
• Communicate with technicians and service writers on parts status, backorders, and ETAs
• Keep the parts room organized, labeled, and clean
• Assist with customer parts counter sales as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• Strong attention to detail — accuracy in ordering and receiving matters here
• Comfortable working in a shop / warehouse environment
• Basic computer skills; ability to learn dealer management software (Eagle)
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player — the service department depends on this role
• Good communication skills; able to work alongside technicians and management daily

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a parts department, warehouse, or inventory role
• Familiarity with outdoor power equipment, small engines, or related mechanical products
• Experience with Eagle Business Software or similar dealer management system
• Experience with Mango or other inventory/cycle-count platforms

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $17.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience
