Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, diesel diagnostics, and inventory control. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our parts department, supporting both internal and external customers with their parts needs. Duties Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts through effective inventory management practices. Utilize ERP systems and order management systems to process orders, track shipments, and maintain records. Collaborate with suppliers for procurement management, sourcing, and negotiation of parts pricing. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries related to parts availability and specifications. Conduct diesel diagnostics to support repair operations and ensure the correct parts are supplied for repairs. Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of parts to the technicians. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize mechanical knowledge to assist in equipment repair and diesel repair as needed. Support demand planning efforts by analyzing historical data and trends related to parts usage. Assist with building customer work orders and finalizing invoices for accuracy. Fulfilling and recieving purchase orders for accurate parts needed. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, inventory control, or warehouse management is preferred. Familiarity with diesel service processes, including diesel repair and HVAC systems. Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently within a warehouse setting. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Excellent negotiation skills for supplier management and pricing discussions. Previous dealership or diesel shop experience is a needed, along with knowledge of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts sourcing. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
