Full Job Description Description:
Service Parts Clerk is responsible for ensuring that parts are available to mechanics and technicians on time; and that inventories are maintained, organized, secured and preserved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain service parts stock: Identify stocking items, max quantities and replenishment methods. Keep storage areas organized, clean. Operate and maintain equipment necessary for moving materials, storing materials, and cleaning facilities Manage on-demand service parts supply: Establish suppliers for service parts and perform purchasing activities and parts arrival aligned with the vehicle service schedule. Coordinate in-bound logistics and provide local support (shop truck) when necessary. Maintain accurate accounting transactions and recordkeeping: Perform inventory control activities and ensure proper accounting processes are completed. Provide summary accounting activities as needed.
Provide effective leadership:
Hire and on-board employees, consistently attend to employee training and development, establish clear instruction for tasks, build teamwork and by providing coaching to address performance problems.
Be an effective team member:
Always wear PPE and work safely, be an example of good behavior. Follow all work processes and policies. Work cooperatively with co-workers. Manage working hours, day and shift schedules, based on truck shop needs. Other duties as assigned and full compliance with all company policies and procedures as described in the Company handbook.
Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED 3 years' experience in a parts warehousing / parts supply environment Valid NC Driver License, clean driving record, and have reliable transportation to work Be willing to complete training for CDL Licensing (training provided by company) Skilled in Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel primarily) Ability to learn new software programs (parts inventory management software is a plus) Able to lift (up to 75 lbs.), and be physically fit to perform tasks and operate equipment Work independently and diligently with minimal directions, to complete tasks on schedule Communicate well with team members and supervisors Apply creativity to solve problems and contribute to the success of the team By signing below, you acknowledge that you have received, reviewed, understood, and agree to the responsibilities and requirements outlined in this job description.
