PARTS COUNTER DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES
The Automotive Parts Advisor is the primary liaison between the Automotive Parts Department and its customers. Automotive Parts Advisors are responsible for assisting their customers with parts needs and insuring the customers' continued satisfaction with the dealership. The primary duties and responsibilities of the Automotive Parts Advisor include: Provide exceptional service to all customers and vendors. Process customer orders and recommend additional related parts. Gain superior product knowledge and understanding of vehicle components to effectively help customers. Assist with daily inventory, receiving, stocking and shipping. Assist in maintaining perpetual inventories. Help maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the service counter, work area and stockroom. Maintain records of time, expenses and materials.
PARTS COUNTER QUALIFICATIONS
: At a minimum, the Automotive Parts Advisor should have the following qualifications: Must have parts counter experience. Understand basic automotive components and systems. A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Working knowledge of computers. Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background check, drug test, and valid driver license. Communication skills in person, writing and over the telephone.
