Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Counter Associate to join our team at our bustling automotive retail location. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking vehicle parts, accessories, and maintenance services. Your energetic approach will ensure a positive shopping experience, while your technical knowledge will support efficient vehicle diagnostics, repair, and inventory management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine sales expertise with automotive repair knowledge in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide expert assistance with automotive parts, accessories, and service inquiries Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify vehicle issues accurately and recommend appropriate solutions Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and replenishing parts and supplies efficiently using inventory management systems like CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Process sales transactions accurately through POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash and electronic payments with professionalism Negotiate sales terms with customers to maximize satisfaction and meet dealership goals Maintain strong communication with customers via phone etiquette to schedule appointments, follow up on service needs, and provide product information Support vehicle maintenance tasks by assisting with automotive repair procedures and ensuring proper maintenance protocols are followed Qualifications Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive service, or dealership environments is highly desirable Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent customer service abilities Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, automotive repair techniques, and inventory management practices Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively Familiarity with CMMS software, POS systems, Microsoft Excel, and retail math enhances operational efficiency Exceptional organizational skills to manage stocking, order fulfillment, and inventory control processes Effective communication skills with the ability to handle cashiering duties and phone interactions confidently Previous retail sales or dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential Join our team where your enthusiasm for automotive technology meets your passion for delivering outstanding service!
