• 26 per hour (based on experience) We're a heavy equipment dealership in Columbus, OH looking to add a Parts Representative to our growing Parts Department.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a customer-service mindset and mechanical curiosity to build a career in the construction equipment industry. Automotive, diesel, or heavy-truck parts experience all translate well here — you don't need to check every box, just show us you're dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to learn. What You'll Do Pull parts for internal technicians and external customers, using parts catalogs and our computer inventory system Advise customers on substitutions or modifications when the exact part isn't available Box, package, and prepare parts for shipment; obtain accurate shipment dimensions and weights Coordinate outgoing shipments (part numbers, shipping method, destination) via UPS, FedEx, LTL freight, and inter-branch delivery trucks Check in and put away daily incoming freight and stock orders Support technicians at the back counter, and grow into front counter/customer-facing and phone sales as you gain experience Examine returned parts to determine if defective, and process exchanges or refunds Maintain shelf stock, restock unsold merchandise, and tag defective items for warranty bins Process payment transactions and balance the register Assist with annual physical inventory and monthly returns of low-usage parts Promote dealership specials and suggest additional parts/service sales Operate a forklift (training and certification provided) What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Mechanical/technical aptitude and a genuine willingness to learn Comfortable with Microsoft Office, computer inventory systems, and basic office equipment Able to stand for extended periods and repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable and consistent attendance One-year certificate from a technical school, three or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with shipping/receiving, parts distribution, or forklift operation is a plus but not required No heavy equipment background required. Automotive parts experience is welcome, and diesel or heavy-truck/shop experience translates especially well. Forklift experience is helpful but fully trainable. Schedule Monday-Friday, no evenings, no weekends 8-hour shifts scheduled within 7:00 AM-5:00 PM (e.g., 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM) Overtime paid at time-and-a-half when available Pay & Benefits $23
