This role owns the complete lifecycle of replacement parts—from identifying and cataloging components to maintaining product listings, managing pricing, optimizing inventory, and creating a seamless customer purchasing experience. Rather than treating replacement parts as a warranty necessity, this role will help transform them into a profitable and scalable product category while ensuring customers can quickly find the right part when they need it. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage large amounts of product data with accuracy. Primary ResponsibilitiesParts Catalog Management Own and maintain the master replacement parts database. Develop and maintain accurate parts breakdowns for every product. Ensure all replacement parts are properly assigned to applicable equipment. Build standardized naming conventions and part numbering systems. Continuously audit parts data for completeness and accuracy. Website & Product Management Create and maintain replacement parts listings on company websites and marketplaces. Write clear product titles, descriptions, specifications, and compatibility information. Improve customer searchability through optimized categorization and filtering. Ensure customers can easily identify and purchase the correct replacement parts. Monitor listings for accuracy and completeness. Inventory & Product Availability Work closely with purchasing and inventory teams to monitor stock levels. Identify missing, obsolete, or high-demand parts. Recommend stocking strategies based on sales trends and service needs. Assist in forecasting future replacement part demand. Help reduce stockouts while minimizing excess inventory. Pricing & Profitability Develop and maintain pricing for all replacement parts. Analyze margins and recommend pricing updates. Identify opportunities to increase replacement part sales and profitability. Monitor competitive pricing where applicable. Support promotional opportunities and bundled part offerings. Product Data & Analytics Maintain accurate spreadsheets and reporting tools. Analyze sales trends and identify growth opportunities. Track key performance indicators for the replacement parts business. Build reports that improve decision making across departments. Maintain documentation for new and existing parts. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Product Management to identify new replacement parts as products launch. Work with Technical Support to ensure part compatibility and accuracy. Coordinate with Customer Service to improve the replacement part purchasing experience. Collaborate with Purchasing and Supply Chain on inventory planning. Support Marketing initiatives that increase replacement parts awareness and sales. QualificationsRequired Exceptional attention to detail. Highly organized with the ability to manage hundreds or thousands of SKUs. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (sorting, filtering, formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written communication skills. Comfortable working with product databases and large datasets. Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy. Preferred Experience with product information management (PIM), ERP, or eCommerce platforms. Experience managing product catalogs or replacement parts. HVAC industry experience is a plus but not required. Experience with inventory management, pricing, or product marketing.
