Summary:
Performs lay-up of metal bond and composite materials in accordance with customer and company specifications and requirements while following company policies and using proper personal protective equipment. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Applies adhesive to metal detail parts and assembles parts. Lays up composite fiberglass parts according to engineering specifications and work orders. Visually inspects parts for foreign object damage (F.O.D.) prior to bagging parts. Vacuum bags parts while ensuring there are no leaks in bag. Cleans and preps bond tools as needed. Unbags and unmolds parts as needed. Records job information in ERP system. Properly documents travelers, process logs, recorder charts and tank information. Maintains clean work area, tools and equipment. Inspects work pieces for defects. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

US Citizen or Permeant Resident (ITAR requirement) Must be able to wear proper personal protective equipment. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy. Must be able to accurately read shop traveler instructions. Mechanical aptitude to include the ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and work orders. Ability to safely use hand tools. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds with assistance. Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications. Team player with a strong desire to work in a fast-paced, professional environment. Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and coworkers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed. Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor's direction; and taking responsibility for own actions. Ability to follow priorities and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.
