Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Parts Specialist, where your expertise in supply chain management and inventory control will drive the efficiency of our parts and materials operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing parts inventory, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring seamless warehouse distribution. Your proactive approach will support our logistics and operations teams, contributing to optimized order fulfillment and transportation planning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your skills in warehouse management systems, freight coordination, and category management to enhance overall supply chain performance. Responsibilities Manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems to ensure accurate stock availability and demand planning. Coordinate purchasing activities, sourcing parts from suppliers, and negotiating pricing to optimize procurement costs. Oversee shipping & receiving processes, including order picking, packing, dispatching, and ensuring timely delivery through transportation management systems (TMS). Support warehouse operations by handling materials management, materials handling, and packaging to maintain efficient workflow. Utilize data analysis skills to monitor supply chain analytics, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement best practices for inventory control. Collaborate with freight providers, 3PL (third-party logistics) partners, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and fleet management teams to streamline transportation planning. Assist in category management and procurement strategies to enhance sourcing efficiency while maintaining compliance with safety regulations such as forklift operation standards. Experience Proven experience in warehouse experience or logistics roles with a focus on parts or materials management. Strong knowledge of supply chain processes including procurement, demand planning, shipping & receiving, and freight coordination. Familiarity with warehouse management system (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms, and transportation management systems (TMS). Demonstrated ability to analyze data using supply chain analytics tools for process improvement initiatives. Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred. Knowledge of e-commerce logistics, packaging standards, and category management principles is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. Pay:
