Job Description

Used Vehicle Recon & Parts Specialist Role Overview Kyner's Auto Sales is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Recon & Parts Specialist . This is not a standard parts counter position. You will be the primary engine driving our used vehicle reconditioning process, responsible for ensuring every unit on our lot is front-line ready as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. You will own the entire lifecycle of a vehicle's internal repair process—from initial estimate and strategic parts sourcing to managing sublet vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing:
Research and procure quality parts at the best possible price points. We want to find the "deal" without sacrificing vehicle safety or longevity.
Recon Estimation:
Work within Rapid Recon to provide accurate, timely estimates for the service and used car managers.
Inventory Logistics:
Manage lead times aggressively to ensure parts arrive in sync with shop capacity, minimizing "days-to-market" for our inventory.
Sublet Management:
Coordinate with OEM dealers and specialized repair facilities for any work handled off-site.
Technical Collaboration:
You will regularly leave the desk to inspect vehicles and consult directly with technicians and managers to verify repair needs and part compatibility.
Required Qualifications:
Deep Automotive Knowledge:
A strong understanding of all major vehicle systems (powertrain, chassis, electrical, etc.) is required.
Parts Experience:
Proven background in automotive parts procurement and inventory management.
Software Proficiency:
Experience with Auto/Mate (DMS) and Rapid Recon is a significant advantage.
Analytical Mindset:
Ability to balance the urgency of deadlines with the due diligence required for cost-savings and productivity.
Communication Skills:
Must be able to communicate firmly and professionally with vendors and collaborate effectively with the internal service team.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Benefits:
401(k) Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off
Work Location:
In person
