Based on ExperiencePosition SummaryThe Boat Shop is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Parts & Warranty Administrator to support our marine service department.

This position is responsible for coordinating parts, preparing and tracking manufacturer warranty claims, maintaining accurate documentation, and following open work through to completion. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working with multiple computer systems, and persistent about deadlines and follow-up.

ResponsibilitiesOrder, receive, organize, and track parts for service and warranty jobs.

Prepare, submit, and follow up on manufacturer warranty claims.

Gather repair orders, technician notes, photos, serial numbers, labor information, and other required documentation.

Track claim corrections, approvals, credits, payments, and outstanding requests.

Communicate with technicians, service managers, vendors, and manufacturer representatives.

Maintain accurate parts, warranty, customer, and service records in company systems.

Monitor open claims and parts orders to ensure deadlines are met.

Assist with resolving missing, incorrect, damaged, or backordered parts.

Keep the service team updated on parts availability and warranty claim status.

Learn and follow the individual warranty requirements of each manufacturer.

Complete additional administrative duties as needed.

QualificationsStrong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Excellent follow-through and the ability to manage multiple open items.

Comfortable working with computers, spreadsheets, email, and online portals.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Able to review detailed documentation and identify missing information.

Comfortable communicating with vendors and manufacturer representatives.

Previous parts, warranty, dealership, service administration, or claims experience is preferred.

Marine-industry experience is helpful but not required.

Ability to learn new software and manufacturer warranty systems.

Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively with a team.
