About The Role We are seeking a skilled Parts Specialist / Estimator to join our busy service team. This hybrid role combines accurate parts procurement and inventory management with producing clear, competitive repair estimates for technicians, insurance partners, and customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment in Meridian, ID. Key Responsibilities Prepare thorough, itemized repair estimates using OEM parts pricing, labor guides, and industry estimating software. Source and order OEM and aftermarket parts from vendors, maintain timely vendor relationships, and track backorders. Manage parts inventory, perform regular cycle counts, and identify slow-moving or critical stock levels to optimize ordering. Coordinate with technicians, and service advisors to verify parts fitment and lead times for scheduled repairs. Communicate professionally with Service Advisors, Technicians, and Vendors to explain estimate details and parts availability. Process parts invoices, reconcile purchase orders, and maintain accurate parts cost in the shop management system. (TekMetric software experience is a plus). Support warranty parts returns and core exchanges, ensuring documentation and vendor credit follow-through. Qualifications And Skills 3+ years of experience in automotive parts, estimating, or dealership parts departments preferred. Strong familiarity with OEM parts catalogs and electronic parts lookup tools is highly desirable. Required skills include excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, comfort working with numbers and pricing, and the ability to prioritize competing work efficiently. Experience with inventory management, purchase order systems.
