Room Administrator Position Summary Schedule:
Monday-Friday Expected Hours:
40-50 hours per week. C.R. Jackson is seeking a dependable and organized Heavy Equipment/S hop Parts Room Administrator to support our maintenance operations by managing parts inventory and company-issued tools. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our mechanics and field personnel have the parts and equipment they need to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory of parts used to repair and maintain heavy highway construction equipment. Receive and inspect incoming shipments and accurately document all received inventory. Organize and stock parts in designated inventory locations. Manage the company hand tool inventory, including issuing, tracking, and documenting tools assigned to employees. Maintain accurate records of tool assignments and returns. Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs. Keep the parts room and tool storage areas clean, organized, and free of debris or safety hazards. Assist mechanics and shop personnel by locating and distributing needed parts and tools. Demonstrate initiative by identifying opportunities to improve inventory organization and efficiency. Maintain a positive attitude while working in a busy, team-oriented environment. Qualifications Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory management systems. Knowledge of construction equipment, heavy machinery, and shop tools is preferred. Previous inventory, warehouse, or parts room experience is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
