Job Description

Pay:
$55,469.72 - $85,963.54 per year Job description: Parts Coordinator (Heavy Duty) — $800/week + 4% GP We're a busy heavy-duty repair shop running on Tekmetric. We don't do "waiting on parts." If bays are waiting, money is leaking. We need a Parts Coordinator who moves fast, orders right the first time, protects margin, and keeps the shop in motion. Pay $800 per week flat 4% Gross Profit commission (paid the following month ) This role is built for someone who understands: speed + accuracy = GP per hour The One Job Eliminate "waiting on parts" while protecting parts margin. What You'll Own (No Excuses) Fast sourcing + ordering : immediate action on parts needs (no "I'll get to it") First-time-right accuracy : verify fitment and order complete kits (hardware, fluids, seals, fittings, etc.) ETA control : confirmed ETAs only; proactive updates before delays hit the bay Plan B execution : alternate vendor/brand/dealer/used/overnight when needed Returns + cores : processed daily—no piles, no lost credits RO visibility in
Tekmetric :
part #, brand, cost, ETA, core + freight notes tied to the job Margin protection : stop GP leaks (missing lines, missed supplies, freight/core mistakes) Heavy Duty Reality (You Must Be Comfortable With) Freight coordination (dock/no dock, liftgate, delivery windows, damage checks) Large cores and core credits (tracking matters) The cost of wrong parts is massive—this role demands discipline What You Don't Do You don't diagnose vehicles. You don't let jobs stall quietly. You don't "hope" on ETAs. What Success Looks Like (Scoreboard) Near-zero bay downtime minutes due to parts High first-time-right order rate Strong parts GP % Fast return/core cycle time Low and controlled backorder age Requirements Prior parts experience (automotive or heavy duty preferred) Strong vendor communication and ability to move quickly under pressure Organized, detail-driven (VIN/build/axle/brake package matters) Comfortable using shop software ( Tekmetric experience is a plus ) Work Style Fit This is not a slow office job.
We value:
urgency over comfort systems over heroics accountability over excuses "If you've ever said 'I'm waiting on the vendor to call me back,' this won't be a fit." "We move fast, communicate early, and keep bays turning—every day." If you like clear expectations, fast pace, and getting paid based on performance—apply.
Apply with:
a short note on your parts experience + what systems you've used (Tekmetric, RO Writer, etc.).
Benefits:
401(k) Health insurance Paid time off
