Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in the parts room. Clerical duties as required by the Superintendent of Facilities. Vacation scheduling is subject to operational needs and the provisions of theCBA. VETERAN COMMITMENT STATEMENT

- Verify parts received, receive into inventory and processing the paperwork necessary for payment.
- Issue parts and maintain computerized inventory records.
- Receive fuel, including a check of the transport truck's compartments before and after unloading, verify the amount of product received.
- Pickup parts and materials from local vendors.
- Keep the parts room, bins, and shelves clean and in an orderly fashion.
- Operate a forklift.
- Prepare and complete required maintenance records and reports.
- Other duties as assigned by the Parts Supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must have computer experience and be able to type thirty (30) words per minute.
- Must possess a valid State of Tennessee Driver's License. Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year's experience in an auto parts house, auto dealership, supply depot in the military or a warehouse operation that required inventory control, is preferred. Military experience may be accepted in lieu of equivalent experience or education. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to understand both written and oral instructions and perform the required duties with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate figures and amounts such as discount, interest, and percentages.
