Job Description
Position Summary This position is responsible for maintaining a proper inventory of parts. Essential Functions Order stock and non stock parts that are needed to repair tractors and trailers Keep accurate inventory of parts and supplies for shop and tank wash Controls inventory needed for forecasted needs Check in part orders, tag, and stock parts Send and receive shipments, unload semi deliveries, route and process office paper work Order replacement parts and new install kits Purchase, stock, and perform daily tire inventory Keep on hand The Federal Highway Association (FHWA) inspection forms, decals, tank test decals, tank test date numbers. Assists lead tech with review and completion of standard and vendor repair orders (stand in if lead tech is off) Order and bill for parts to vendor repair facilities Ensure accurate pricing and invoicing of orders Keep SDS information current and accurate to match on hand products Assist in transporting equipment to vendors for repair Assists in building and yard maintenance by either performing needed repairs or coordinates outside vendors Negotiates pricing with outside vendors
Monitors and processes warranty recoverable items Qualifications Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Working knowledge of class 8 tractors and trailers Ability to read and interpret technical data and information
