TOOL ROOM CLERK

Job Summary:

Responsible for supplying maintenance personnel with the correct parts, components, and information necessary to maintain and repair all physical plant equipment. This position maintains accurate supplier/vendor part descriptions and inventory balances. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Physically receive deliveries into the parts room warehouse, verify materials received against shipping documents and purchase orders. Examine product for defects and accuracy, notate any discrepancy on the shipping document, and communicate variances with the Purchasing Manager. Enter all received parts information in the maintenance management software. Properly store inventories in assigned warehouse locations. Assist plant team members with the retrieval of parts. Assist plant team members with ordering parts. Kit parts to complete work orders and PM's. Post issued parts in the maintenance management software. Log all issued parts on the expense form. Maintain vehicle and equipment logs. Conduct cycle counts and update maintenance management software. All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High School diploma or GED Ability to handle multiple tasks Ability to continuously prioritize responsibilities to meet the needs of a changing environment Work a twelve-hour shift and provide coverage for all shifts as directed. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in the execution of the work schedule. Ensures the area is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion. Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, and all Company rules and policies. Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment including immediately correcting or reporting safety issues to your supervisor. Read, understand, and comply with standard operating procedures and safety data sheets. Ability to identify deficiencies within area of responsibility and take or recommend appropriate corrective actions. MS Excel knowledge preferred, but not required, but willing to learn Must be willing to work in other areas of the shop to meet production requirements Data entry for office as time allows Be a team player and get along with others Must communicate effectively (oral and written form) Must have great attention to detail, organizational skills and be able to problem solve Lift, push, pull, and carry objects or equipment above the shoulder level without assistance.
